Four BIG reasons to join the trend and celebrate your BIG day midweek
Whilst we are certain that the weekend wedding will always be popular, the national press has recently reported a growing trend for midweek weddings. According to The Telegraph, 21,000 couples chose to say ‘I Do’ on a weekday last year and we have certainly noticed an increase in midweek weddings of all sizes at Caistor Hall in recent years.
So why are couples opting to tie the knot on a weekday? Here’re four of the most popular reasons…
Because Saturday weddings are traditionally more popular, a mid-week wedding often means couples can book the venue they love at exactly the time of year they’d always dreamed of getting married. At Caistor Hall we only ever host one wedding on your special day – yours – so you will get our full attention whatever day you are getting married. However, many couples find that a midweek wedding means that other suppliers such as florists, photographers or caterers have more availability and are able to spend more time on getting their special day just right.
It is estimated that couples can save up to 1/3 by getting married midweek. Not only are venues often priced to reflect the preference for weekend celebrations but other suppliers offer their services at a reduced rate during the week to ensure they stay busy at quieter times. Couples can save money on everything from the venue to the catering by planning their special day midweek. In addition, many couples make the most of the midweek travel deals which enable them to have the honeymoon they’ve always dreamed of.
Some couples like a big build-up to their day, whereas others prefer more spontaneous arrangements. The increased availability of venues midweek allows couples to celebrate when they want to. We understand that your wedding is completely personal to you from the moment you get engaged to the last dance at your reception. Your dedicated wedding planner will make sure that every detail is just right for you and your guests.
- Cosier gatherings
The trend for midweek weddings is often accompanied by a desire for more intimate weddings. However, with the increase of more flexible working patterns in the UK – a midweek wedding doesn’t necessarily have to mean a small affair. Caistor Hall boasts a breath-taking Palm Court, two ornate ballrooms, The Coach House, The Marquee and The Garden Room – all of which have different guest capacity but are equally exquisite.
